Feedback: It is a very nice looking film with the visuals and colors, but still has problems like the third film with meanspirited characters, confusing and lazy plot points and logic problems about the world itself. This is the world were Shrek goes to and characters motivations are different and story elements don't match from the previous films does look interesting, but the conflicts are not being put together to stop the villain and contract.
I kind of think that this is a good way to finish this series, though i am sad about the fifth film coming up.
This is a fun fact. The world where Shrek visits and characters have different relationships, It does remind of Mortal Kombat (2011), where the characters, in story mode, die and resurrect by Quan Chi that their souls are corrupted, minds are lost and don't seem likable. I can tell by the taste of content by which these facts are similar to what these writers are coming from.
Positives:
The other Shrek characters in the other world were interesting
Villain seems clever to watch
It's a good way to set up for the finale of the series
The visuals are very well done
Negatives:
Motivations were confusing
Meanspirited moments
Infuriating scenes that are not needed
Plot elements that are recycled
