Positives:
  • The only volumes that does have character development and motivation are only from one through eight
  • The yuri couples with Yang and Blake is the only best thing in this entire series
  • Some of the villains seem to be intriguing including arthur watts and cinder
  • Casey Lee Williams did a fantastic job with the vocals, music and songs

Mixed:
  • Animation was not bad, but it does get uncomfortable at times with the characters close ups and full shots
  • A few character dynamics seem like they are their a little bit and somewhat development about death and grief, but they keep adding more things that kinda feels like it doesn't seem to make the volumes more established towards plot

Negatives:
  • Until the story does to get interesting from volumes 1 to 5, the later volumes tend to get even worse
  • Arguments and counterarguments throughout this entire series is boring, uninterested and not very entertaining to watch
  • Confusing hero/protagonist wise
  • Emotional scenes that are kinda cringe and forced
  • Characters talking to each other from one scene after another is too much
  • Characters motivation seems to be lost and lacking, yet they are not actual charcters, they attend to be just tools and the same from the other volumes. They are tend to be unlikable and are a waste of time
  • Why would ironwood be the villain and not help out with RWBY and stopping cinder and white fang army? It makes no sense. It's nonsensical
  • Winter's father is a complete and utter
  • I felt no sense of danger, for anything in this. Weiss has to get stabbed by cinder by the end of one episode, but comes back healing, like it was reckoned
  • Repetitive fight scenes with the white fang creatures
  • Attrocious pacing and timing throughout the series
  • The background choices from a few volumes does tend to be the same as the previous movies from disney and dreamworks
  • Very weird and disjointing editing and postproduction work
